ADD/HD in Adults
September 25th, 2013 05:00:00 am
When people think about ADD/HD, they usually think about their children however, ADD/HD can appear in adults as
well. How do you think most adults cope with ADD/HD? Do you think they see it as a condition, a gift or a talent? The
answer will amaze you and if you want to know what most adults with ADD/HD think about it, keep reading.
When people find out as adults that they have ADD/HD there may be a sense of relief as they can now put a name to
why their minds have worked differently from their peers. Having ADD/HD may be quite difficult to manage, but in the
end, it is only a matter of choice. It is your choice whether ADD/HD will become a curse or a true gift in time and it is
quite easy to go the second way. Dr. Kevin Ross Emery has written a several books on this subject and he can help
parents of ADD/HD children as well as adults how to turn ADD/HD into a true gift in order to have the most
successful life possible.
Being different should not be a bad thing. Albert Einstein and Thomas Edison were both different and look how the
success that they had! They were both thought to have had ADD/HD however there was no medication at the time to
dull their senses and to keep them from reaching their full potential. Flash forward to the 21st century where we now
have various medications with which to manage ADD/HD symptoms. This medication helps to turn those with
ADD/HD into quite normal people and even if this is a dream come true for most, it may be a true waste of talent.
Being comfortable and at ease with yourself is the first thing you need to do. Having multiple ideas at once, being
enthusiastic an interested in everything you see is quite normal with ADD/HD, but you need to know how to channel
all your energy into creating something. Even if creating refers only to a small idea if you take the time to nourish
and nurture your talents, you could turn that small idea into a billiondollar business, as so many other have done it
before you. Having ADD/HD is a true gift, especially if you know how to control it. The key to become successful lies
in your hands and, as I told you before, it is only a matter of choice and this is left in your hands. So, what do you
want to be average or stunning?
